There is a photo report about status of St.Mykolai floating crane construction at Santierul Naval Constanta shipyard (Constanta city).
At present the shipbuilders have cut 838 tons of metal.
Subassembly
The shipyard specialists have completed production of assemblies for the section No10, there has been started production of assemblies for the sections No10 and No80. Totally, subassembly preparedness is 100% (for sections No10, 20, 40, 70) and is 30% (for sections No30, 80).
Fabrication
At the shipyard the assembly-welding works to enlarge port section No20 are being completed, starboard section has already been manufactured and, soon the unit No20 will be assembled. The crane pillar (unit No70) was laid.
Manufacture of sections for the units No10, 20, 40, 70 is being conducted.
Preparedness of assembly-welding works comprises: 5% (port and starboard sections No10%), 35% (port and starboard sections No40), 40% (unit No70), 65% (port section No20).
Paint works have been started. There have already been performed blasting (cleaning) and painting of starboard section No20. When painting there were carried out works to protect welding joints – for carrying out a leak test.
Production of hull pipes and elements of engine and construction part is being continued. In particular, assembly of oblong pipes for the units No10-60, 80, 90 was finished completely.
Construction completion of the floating crane is scheduled for March 25, 2013.
