Long-standing friendly relations between the company and the educational institution are built upon professional principles and values. This time the terminal welcomed students (department of processing of grain, bread products, confectionery, mixed fodder and biofuel) and lecturers (department of grain storage technology).
People who visited the terminal for the first time (most students have already visited the terminal) were impressed by it. The entire process of grain movement and grain processing is important practical knowledge that will enable the graduates to adapt themselves to the production processes as quickly as possible (from the sampling of grain and oil crops to the analysis of quality).
The guests were particularly interested in the production and technological laboratory located in a three-storey building and equipped according to the highest world standards. This laboratory is unique in Ukraine, and only here people can observe how to measure grain quality, presence of GMO, toxic elements, mycotoxins, radionuclides and pesticides in food.
The students were impressed by the unique domes where grain is stored. They were told that these domes had been constructed according to the unique technology. They observed the flow and transport system at the terminal, duties of the dispatching service and operators running the most up-to-date equipment. The guests also saw a complex for drying grain. The complex ensures that high export standards of commodities are followed.
The guests visited NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard. That day NIBULON launched Pereiaslavskyi tug – the second vessel of the 121 project vessels constructed at the shipyard. 
Earlier the students and lecturers of Odesa National Academy of Food Technologies visited NIBULON’s transshipment terminal in Nova Odesa town and familiarized themselves with the technology of grain receipt and storage.
The guests shared their positive impressions.
Olena Nikityuk, afifth-year student, said, “Last year I visited the terminal for the first time. We study theory and here I can gain valuable practical experience while observing this unique equipment. NIBULON’s experience helps me to prepare my diploma thesis: I can better understand the topic and analyze problems. Old companies with outdated techniques cannot provide this experience”.
Other students said NIBULON had the best process organization they had ever seen. Having observed NIBULON’s activities, I am aware of organizational and technical problems to be solved at outdated companies.
Georgiy Stankevych, DPhil and a head of the department of grain storage technology in Odesa National Academy of Food Technologies, summarized, “Firstly, I want to thank NIBULON’s management for allowing students to visit the company and to study modern techniques of operation. This practice is very important. By the way, our students undergo production and pregraduation practical training at NIBULON. We also thank NIBULON for modern laboratory presented to our university. The terminal in Nova Odesa town has the same laboratory; thereby, our graduates quickly adapt themselves to production processes. The laboratory allows its employees to perform scientific work by different themes. The terminal is of great value for the lecturers of our department. The unique grain storages, laboratory, production and technological process itself make the students realize that our profession is very serious, difficult and extremely important for Ukraine. As bread is the staff of life.
