The shipping company, a young branch of NIBULON, was established in 2009 since the beginning of the investment program implementation of the latter. At present the shipping company numbers 28 non-self-propelled vessels, 7 modern tugs, and a dredger. It is fallacious to think that the shipping company must include only vessels. Its operation and, thus, successful activity of NIBULON is ensured by other devices, machinery and fleet renewed by NIBULON regularly. The next technological re-equipment was held in March 2013. The shipping company got two Bobcat S770 skid-steer loaders with rated operating capacity of 1520 kg and engine of 686 kW (93 hp) each produced by Bobcat Company (the USA). The given equipment replaced Volvo L20 loaders which had been used by the company until now. The loader model, chosen by the specialists of the shipping company thoroughly, corresponds to all technical and engineering requirements both as to functionality and safety engineering in difficult sea conditions. The loader is able to maneuver in case of space shortage without loosing its stability. It is characterized by: – side turn; – high indices of stability and passing ability; – all-wheel drive. Engine characteristics: – fuel tank: 103 l; – number of cylinders: 4; – maximum power: 68.6 kW at 2400 RPM; – capacity of cylinders: 3.769 l; –fuel and cooling: diesel, liquid; – torque: 315 Nm at 1600 RPM. Loader operational characteristics: – tipping load (in compliance with ISO14397-1): 3039 kg; – hydraulic pump flow: 87/138 L/min; – travel speed: up to 19.8 km/h. The loader design provides for assembly of attached implements, namely an aerator, a concrete pump, a grader, a cutter, a scraper, a saw, and others. The new skid-steer loaders will be used at the transshipment terminal and during vessels’ loading in the roads: to carry out clean-up of holds of non-self-propelled vessels, to handle technological cargoes, and others.
