On December 11, 2015, NIBULON’s General Director Oleksiy Vadaturskyy and his deputies, heads of the company’s departments and directors at the production branches held a meeting to summarize harvesting campaign and discuss perspective plans of the production activity.
Speaking to his colleagues, Oleksiy Vadaturskyy mentioned that the past agricultural seasons were characterized by drought summer and autumn. Though, the weather brought new “surprises” to the agrarians, NIBULON’s grain growers, keeping up all the required agroclimatic terms, harvested high yields taking into account extreme weather conditions.
Kostyantyn Khmelnytskyy, deputy general director of agricultural production, told about harvesting results of early and late grain crops in detail.
He stressed that in 2015 NIBULON’s branches had produced about 310 thousand tons of agricultural commodities which was almost by 50 thousand tons more than in 2012.
Early Grain Crops
– This year the company’s agrarians have harvested a record yield of early grain crops.
The company threshed more than 134 thousand tons of grain from the area of more than 31 thousand ha. The previous record was 129.4 thousand tons in 2009.
– NIBULON harvested 115.4 thousand tons of winter wheat. A gross yield of early grain crops is the highest by crop in NIBULON’s history! The second place belongs to 2009 (92.3 thousand tons)
– The top-three leaders in harvesting winter wheat are “Snigurivs’ka” branch in Mykolayiv region (more than 14 thousand tons at a crop yield of 50.4 dt/ha), “Khmil’nyk” branch in Vinnytsya region (more than 5 thousand tons at a crop yield of 54.8 dt/ha), “Romanivs’ka” branch in Zhytomyr region (almost 3.4 thousand tons at a crop yield of 58 dt/ha).
– NIBULON’s agrarians achieved high results in cultivating and harvesting winter barley. The average crop yield is the highest one for the past 10 years and is almost 45.1 dt/ha. NIBULON harvested almost 13 thousand tons of grain on the area of more than 2.8 thousand ha. “Snigurivs’ka” branch in Mykolayiv region demonstrated the highest crop yield of 53.2 dt/ha.
– As to winter rapeseed, this season the company has harvested more than 5.7 thousand tons on the area of 1.6 thousand ha at an average crop yield of 34.6 dt/ha. This is the second result in NIBULON’s history. 2013 (38 dt/ha) is ranked in first place. “Kamyanets’-Podil’s’ka” branch in Khmelnytskyy region demonstrated the best average crop yield of 39 dt/ha.
– NIBULON achieved high results in crop overwintering that wintered practically without losses.
– NIBULON’s agrarians continued production diversification, in particular they completely refused spring barley in the crop structure.
Late Grain Crops
– Maximal indices of sunflower yield per season: “Pryseymivs’ka” branch in Sumy region reached the highest crop capacity of 29.4 dt/ha; “Snigurivs’ka” branch in Mykolayiv region demonstrated the highest gross yield of 2.8 thousand tons.
– Maximal indices of corn yield per season: “Chygyryn” branch in Cherkasy region achieved the highest crop yield and gross yield (86.5 dt/ha and 28.6 thousand tons, respectively). It is an absolute record for NIBULON!
– “Chygyryn” branch demonstrated a record gross yield of late grain crops – 35.5 thousand tons (the company’s record).
– “Chygyryn” branch is also a leader in the 2015 agrarian season, having achieved 47.9 thousand tons of gross yield of early and late grain crops. (the company’s record).
– The local (individual) crop yield records were set by “Snigurivs’ka” branch in Mykolayiv region (25.3 dt/ha – sunflower, 45.6 dt/ha – sorghum) and “Kamyanka” branch in Cherkasy region (78.1 dt/ha – corn).
– Despite the adverse weather and climatic conditions, the company’s agrarians achieved a yield of sunflower and corn at the level of the previous seasons.
– This year the crop yield from one hectare has exceeded the last year’s figure by 1.4 dt/ha.
– The agrarians have used land resources as much as possible this year, continuing to correct crop rotation structure.
– The rating of branch achievements by zonal location: Southern Steppe – “Snigurivs’ka” branch “RE Lidiyivs’ke” branch, “Bashtans’ka” branch (Mykolayiv region); Eastern Steppe – “Novopskovs’ka” branch, “Troyits’ka” branch, “Starobils’ka” branch (Lugansk region); Central Forest-Steppe – “Chygyryn” branch (Cherkasy region), “Pryseymivs’ka” branch (Sumy region), “Sukhorabivs’ka” branch (Poltava region); Northern Forest-Steppe – “Bystryts’ka” branch, “Chudnivs’ka” branch, “Romanivs’ka” branch (Zhytomyr region).
Production Support
The company’s production department has purchased seed grain (in particular, Ukrainian elite seed), mineral fertilizers and seed disinfectants in order to prepare NIBULON for the next sowing season.
The 2016 Agrarian Season
NIBULON’s agrarians have already sown winter crops on the area of 29.6 thousand ha out of 33.5 thousand ha planned. In particular, they completed sowing of winter rapeseed and winter barley (3.6 thousand ha and 3 thousand ha, respectively). The agrarians have sown 23 thousand ha of winter wheat out of 26.9 thousand ha planned.
