Having been successfully tested, the company’s automated system for grain and oilseeds receipt, processing, and shipment by water and road transport is fully ready for operation. NIBULON’s specialists and contractors have adjusted the new equipment and connected the new silos to the existing technological facility.More than 100 people, both from local contractors and companies from Mykolaiv, Odesa, and others, were engaged in constructing the site. NIBULON implemented the project with the financial support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.“An increase in the simultaneous storage capacity positively influences the company’s development as well as the agrarian sector in our region. It enables NIBULON to establish cooperation with new grain product suppliers and to improve the economic and logistics activities at the company. As part of the construction, the company put into operation three modern silos of 7.3 thousand tons capacity each produced by AGI (Canada). NIBULON installed an updated aeration system (for active ventilation) and a peeling auger with a capacity of 200 tons per hour. The silos are equipped with the thermometry and other devices. These achievements enable the staff to work towards a common goal to reach stability and reliability”, says Roman Chumachenko, the Voznesenska branch director. The new capacities operate normally. Wheat was the first commodity to be loaded into the silos. At present, the facility has received about 6.6 thousand tons of grain to be processed and stored. One of three silos is completely full. Currently, the company’s specialists continue receiving agricultural commodities; in particular, they are loading the second silo. All grain received by the Voznesenska branch transshipment terminal is shipped and delivered by NIBULON’s water transport to the company’s sea terminal in Mykolaiv or directly to the outer roads. Due to the additional storage capacity, the volume of agricultural commodities received will be increased. The company will remove at least 25 thousand trucks annually from the highways in Mykolaiv region and Mykolaiv. We would remind you that in 2020 the project to increase the company’s production capacities includes the construction of additional silos in the Holoprystanska branch territory (21.9 thousand tons).
