The Grain Captain of Ukraine has been nominated for the international documentary film festival Doc Only (Copenhagen), a festival dedicated to showcasing the most compelling and innovative works by independent documentary filmmakers.
The life journey and struggle of the founder of Nibulon continue to gain international recognition, capturing the attention of both the professional film community and wider audiences. Today, the legacy of the Grain Captain has become a powerful symbol of resilience, courage, and unwavering strength.
The nomination at Doc Only continues the film’s festival journey following its premiere at the Odesa International Film Festival, its official selection and screening at the Girona International Film Festival, and its award win at the Bobritsa Film Festival. Inclusion in the Doc Only program confirms the film’s social, cultural, and documentary significance, as well as its relevance to international dialogue.
