Terex Fuchs MHL 385 D is a mobile, multipurpose and highly productive loading machine to satisfy different requirements in modern port logistics. Unlike stationary port and cable cranes, this mobile loader can be promptly moved to a destination point. The high-capacity hydraulics and reliable statics ensure accurate maneuverability even with heavy loads. Due to its technical and production characteristics, Terex Fuchs MHL 385 D contributes to the improvement of port logistics.

NIBULON’s shipping company will use the loader together with a pontoon vessel (project No. C14938). Their mobility will be ensured by both self-propulsion of the loader, its boom rotation angle of 360°and a ramp aboard the pontoon vessel, enabling the loader to go down and to operate overland.
Technical characteristics: weight in operating condition – 66-67 tons; engine capacity – 273 kWt; first speed – up to 8 km per hour; carrying capacity at grab mode – 4 tons; productivity – 350-400 tons per hour (9,600 tons per day).
Please note that NIBULON will not purchase a pontoon vessel; it will be built by the agrarian company itself at NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard.
The company plans to construct at its shipyard 12 shallow-draught tugs (121 project) and 12 non-self-propelled vessels of the NBL-91 project (NIBULON is constructing them now), an inshore boat, an escort tug of about 5,000 h.p., plus a docking tug of 3,500 h.p. NIBULON also plans to construct 35 self-propelled “Volgo-Don Max” class vessels and passenger catamarans.
One of its main tasks is to perform loading/unloading operations in the outer roads of Mykolayiv Sea Trade Port, at NIBULON’s main grain terminal in Mykolayiv city, at other terminals located along the Dnipro and the Southern Bug (including overland) and in the roads (anchorage) of NIBULON’s terminals and others.
For example, Terex Fuchs MHL 385 D will load vessels of up to 55 thousand tons from non-self-propelled vessels at the transshipment terminal in Mykolayiv city.
The modern loader will enable other NIBULON’s terminals to perform export activity by shipping agricultural commodities supplied directly by local farmers without commodity transshipment in Mykolayiv city. Terex Fuchs MHL 385 D will complete loading of self-propelled vessels (“river-sea” type) in the roads of NIBULON’s terminals. The vessels will be bound for one of 64 countries that import Ukrainian agrarian commodities as part of NIBULON’s foreign economic contracts.
The operation of the modern and high-capacity loader (together with a pontoon vessel) will promote further implementation of NIBULON’s main development strategy  – to transport 3 million tons of grain crops per year along the Dnipro and the Southern Bug.
