The specialists have been mounting the crane on the building berth. To date, they have mounted a pillar, a cab, and a cable drum. The installation of electrical equipment and hydraulic system is being continued. Tomorrow, it is planned to move the crane by its own machinery to a new place in order to mount a boom (outreach – 35 m, luffing max – 83 m/min).
The high-capacity Liebherr crane with a lifting capacity of 42 tons will ensure the installation of enlarged units of the self-propelled P-140 project vessel that is being constructed at NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard. It will integrate the new assembly and fabrication workshop with the building berth.
Re-equipment of the shipyard’s cranes is also an important and integral part of the effective shipbuilding program and the large-scale reconstruction of NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard. And NIBULON successfully copes with that. NIBULON implements this part of the project with the support of the European Investment Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. It is expected that upon reconstruction and modernization of the existing facilities NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard will be the most modern shipyard in Ukraine and one of the best plants in Europe.
