An old Chygyryn town (from a Turkic word “chygyr” – “a road, a way”) in Cherkasy region is a land decoration. The town is famous for its architectural and cultural memorials: Castle Mountain with a Monument to Bogdan Khmelnitsky, Archeology Museum, Bogdan Khmelnitsky Residence and Museum, National Historical and Cultural Park. The land is famous for its fertile soils, agrarians, and agricultural companies. In 2007 “Chygyryn” branch of NIBULON joined them. “When the branch was being created, unfortunately, we got land covered with weed. Actually, we were given remains; weed plants were higher than a tractor. Consequently, we had things to start with! But we were not afraid of difficulties and are not sorry for that. Today the branch regularly demonstrates one of the best indices both in the region and among other branches of the company”, mentions Oleksandr Trypuz, the branch director. Ivan Nerubaiskyy, a chief agronomist, agreed with his words, “We faced a large amount of work: acceptance of land, its official registration, analysis of maps of fields, determination of their borders. But we coped with it till the first sowing of winter crops! During years of operation we have won harvesting campaign of winter crops in the Northern Region twice (among NIBULON’s branches) and were rewarded with new cars. In the region we demonstrate one of the best results. Last season a corn yield comprised 67 dt/ha, sunflower – 27 dt/ha; this year we are going to harvest 46 dt/ha of wheat and 30 dt/ha of rape”. The branch agronomists follow an example of Kostyantyn Khmelnytskyy, NIBULON’s deputy general director of agricultural production. “For his energy, strength, professionalism and regular assistance”, notes the team. Oleksiy Keit, a chief economist who has been working at the branch since its foundation, tells, “Before getting a job in NIBULON I worked in a bank, a job center. But neither working conditions nor wage satisfied me. When I came to the branch, my wage increased twice as many, and I found new friends. Frankly speaking, it is more difficult to work here but more interesting. Every day is busy: in the morning we plan our work, hold meetings, and in the evening we report on the results. The first month of work was both the most complicated and the most interesting for me: agriculture was a novelty that is why I was interested in absolutely everything; I watched every movement of a harvester”. A story of Sergiy Kutsenko’s coming to the company is interesting, “Having obtained higher education in 2008 I had to become a private entrepreneur in the market. But my trading activities were unsuccessful. NIBULON’s arrival became a real salvation. Today I try not to recollect my entrepreneurial past; some of my friends continue their trading activities… Our work is intensive, difficult but it has its own peculiarity – universality. Each of us gains engineering, accountant, and agronomic skills. I am proud of our machinery fleet that numbers 29 tractors and harvesters produced by Fendt, Case. Some companies in the region have either old, or not enough machinery. Some local companies are “famous” for employee turnover. For example, our staff of engineers is unchangeable for three years!” Valentyn Lagutkin, an engineer, adds, “This year we plan to renew machinery fleet, we have already received two tractors. Increase of a yield will be gratitude for it!” By the way, Sergiy Kutsenko and Ivan Nerubaiskyy are not only colleagues, but also good friends. During an interview they held each other up as an example. Ivan Lubyanyy works as a driver at the branch. According to him, the branch team is very friendly with a lot of traditions. “Sowing campaign is a rush season for us. Everybody works in the field till late, from a director to a driver. We can work; consequently, we have a good rest! In particular, we play ping pong regularly. A table was presented by Oleksiy Vadaturskyy for production successes. A local pond, developed due to the company’s funds, became a favourable recreation center both for our team and inhabitants. By the way, we have friendly relations with the community; thus, we are invited to celebrate the New Year, Midsummer Day, and Village Day. In our turn we make presents”. It should be noted that the branch provides considerable assistance to the local communities: there are allocated funds for the children’s health improvement in summer camps, for organization of holidays and solemn events; schools receive sports goods and training aids; medical and educational institutions are repaired; school transportation is organized. And “Chygyryn” branch is also famous for its football history! Oleksandr Trypuz tells, “I thought of creating our own team when I worked in the company’s central office. Transfer to the branch became a catalyst. The company purchased sports uniform, equipment. Our team is called “NIBULON-DNIPRO”. It consists of both employees of the branch and lessors. Last year we took second place in the district contests, and this year we plan to win. In the regional contests we enter the top three leaders”. Oleksandr Trypuz tells about his branch proudly, “We are a great team! We till huge sown areas, work hard. We rely on ourselves and NIBULON’s support. Due to our efforts the district knows what domestic agrarian leader is”!
