The group of excursionists organized by the district labour veteran council consisted of different professionals, but they were united by a common interest in NIBULON as a renowned company in Ukraine. One of the guests said, “Reading newspapers is useful, but it is better to see everything with my own eyes”.
We did not even expect that the guests would ask so many questions as to work organization at NIBULON’s facilities. They were interested in NIBULON’s activities in Ukraine. The specialists in the production and technological laboratory told how grain quality was controlled when unloaded and loaded, how the most up-to-date import equipment operated. The guests were also interested in the chemical-technological laboratory.
The deputy director at the transshipment terminal Sergiy Filenko familiarized the guests with the capacities and manufacturing capabilities of the transshipment terminal. The labour veterans were impressed not only by the domes where grain is stored but also by the flow and transport system of grain movement. “It turns out, in order to see Europe, it is not obligatory to go there”, said one of the guests.
Some guests know that NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard was created on the basis of an inoperative shipyard. Now they are lucky to see how shipbuilding is reviving, how NIBULON’s fleet is appearing. The veterans familiarized themselves with the construction of tugs and non-self-propelled vessels at NIBULON shipbuilding and repair yard.
They asked a lot of questions, in particular rather qualified ones, concerning priorities and criteria when choosing suppliers of materials and equipment. Thus, the Deputy General Director of Fleet Construction, Fleet Operation and Navigation Safety Andriy Volik answered the questions with pleasure.
Sharing their impressions, the veterans said that NIBULON had to be a guideline for other companies; the company brought hope for successful future in Ukraine.
Nadiya Shchedrova (worked for Chernomorsudoproject S.A.) said, “Everything impresses here – from the equipment to the perfect cleanness everywhere. The work organization itself and technological processes are efficient. It is a shining example for the Ukrainian economy”.
Lyudmyla Feoktystova said, “I am a teacher. And I ask NIBULON to invite pupils more often so that they may see such a shipyard in Mykolayiv city instead of destroyed companies. Thus, they will have hope for better future. The pupils will be proud of their city.”
Valentyna Abba, a member of the labour veteran council in Lenin district, said, “Observing such a facility, you begin to admire a personality of Oleksiy Vadaturskyy. His rank of Hero of Ukraine is deserved. He created these samples, models of economic development, creative approach to work organization and deserved conditions for his employees. NIBULON’s activity should be followed by.”
The excursion was over, but the labour veterans continued to ask questions and shared their impressions.
