On February 11, 2015, Mykolayiv Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry invited the management of leading companies in Mykolayiv region to meet with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of French Republic in Ukraine Alain Remy and representatives of French Embassy. The latter included the Embassy’s Deputy Head of Economic Department Frederick Fatu and the Embassy Counsellor O’Railly Le Bourgeois.
During the meeting, the representatives of domestic companies have familiarized themselves with the sectors in which French representatives are ready to invest, shared their own plans about Ukrainian and French cooperation and also discussed the ways to invest assets in Ukraine’s economy in future.
First of all, Alain Remy assured that France completely supported Ukrainians and was interested in establishing peace in our country.
Addressing himself to the guests, he mentioned that despite the military operations in Eastern Ukraine, French investors wanted to continue their work in the country. He reminded us about successful enterprises in Mykolayiv region with French investment. Thus, according to the Ambassador, French businessmen are open for dialogue and ready to discuss new sectors of cooperation.
Having watched an image film about investment attractiveness in our region, the participants started to discuss further development of bilateral cooperation. Ukrainian representatives, in particular NIBULON, suggested a number of attractive investment and social ideas to the Ambassador.
Valeriy Kunytskyy, a head of NIBULON’s foreign economic relations and marketing department, said that taking into account the unstable political and economic situation in our country, all foreign banks had reduced financing of Ukrainian companies in almost 10 times. This intensified the recession of Ukraine’s economy.
Addressing himself to people in the name of NIBULON’s General Director Oleksiy Vadaturskyy, Valeriy Kunytskyy said, “NIBULON as an investor thinks that France and French banks can help Ukraine to overcome the crisis, to implement investment projects, by providing available loans to a number of stable domestic companies enjoying the confidence of foreign banks. The efficient solution of this issue contributes to the stabilization of Ukraine’s economy and will enable the EU countries to reduce the volume of donor assistance to our country”.
“It should be noted that NIBULON as one of the leaders of the Ukrainian agrarian sector is renowned in France due to its close cooperation with agrarians and bank institutions, such as Crédit Agricole, BNP Paribas, Natixis, Societe Generale”, he added.
NIBULON is a socially responsible company and acts responsibly in a number of Ukrainian regions. The annual volume of expenses for social and infrastructure projects comprises UAH 15 million.
Nowadays most of Ukrainian villages require infrastructure improvement, namely the construction of roads, the installation of electricity, the implementation of energy-saving and up-to-date IT technologies, the development of educational institutions, libraries, medical institutions, the renovation of the existing ones, the installation and repair of water supply systems, and others. This program should also include refresher courses for Ukrainian teaches, pupils, students to be held in France.
Valeriy Kunytskyy suggested supporting NIBULON’s initiative and joining the United Nations Program “Local Society-Oriented Development”, choosing a number of villages in Mykolayiv region and appraising an estimate to implement the program. “The latter will be distributed among the Ukrainian company, French party and the United Nations”. And we guarantee absolute financial transparency and accountability”, he stressed.
The common implementation of the given program will enable our citizens to make their own conscious choice, as the results of this cooperation will become the best indicators of Europe’s positive image.
NIBULON’s proposition was welcomed by Alain Remy. He promised to help to implement the program and also expressed his wish to involve leading French banks in implementing the program.  
According to Oleksiy Vadaturskyy, NIBULON, participating in this program, does not aim at advertising itself. Our company is renowned both in Ukraine and abroad. Today together with French partners, we can demonstrate the things to be done by Europe for Ukrainians. And we are emphasizing that this project is necessary, and we are ready to act as pioneers in implementing it.
