Not far away from “Globyns’ka” branch (Globyne town) in Poltava region, on a picturesque hill of Pyvyha Mountain, there is located a small town called Gradyz’k. Till 2010 the town had a quiet and unremarkable life… On March 12, 2010, there was held a solemn laying of the foundation stone of “Gradyz’k” branch. Having the first terminal in Poltava region, NIBULON included the region in his project to revive water transportation. …The town woke up with the first machinery noise and revived when the last builder left the ready-built branch! *** “Our terminal is a decoration for the town, a facility to be visited by both the inhabitants and the visitors. Certainly, they cannot enter the terminal’s territory without permission, but people like to take a walk along a concrete road built by NIBULON. The street is called “Nibulonivs’ka”. Young mothers like to walk with baby carriages here, because the road is plane, without holes. The youth enjoys cycling and motorcycling here. Many people go for a walk in the evening when the street lamps are on. The inhabitants told that this road had been made for a full due. Each inhabitant can appraise NIBULON’s quality”, tells Oleksandr Mishyn, the branch director. The young branch is beautiful not only from the outside. “We have low personnel fluctuation except transfer of employees to other branches. In due time several people left their jobs but not because they did not like their working conditions. They had to move to other regions for a permanent residence. We are a united team; thus, it is difficult to part with people. We try to do everything so that people feel themselves comfortable. For example, we organize meals. We want people to be healthy, satiated and to have inspiration to work”, mentions Olena Dubyna, a personnel inspector. “We have a lot to recollect and to tell”, tells Sergiy Kovalenko, a chief mechanic, “Our town and team still recollect October 2010, when we loaded our first non-self-propelled vessel”. Everybody was looking forward to seeing it, as even old-residents had never seen such a powerful vessel here. The non-self-propelled vessel was accompanied by a tug. All the branch employees, heads of the town council, farmers and ordinary people came to watch the vessel’s calling at Gradyz’k port”. Vitaliy Mohun, a chief powerman, adds, “That day there happened a historical event not only for us, but also for people of Gradyz’k town. Many people did not believe that Gradyz’k town would revive its status as a port town. But due to NIBULON, when Gradyz’k celebrated its 1145th anniversary, the inhabitants received a wonderful present – for the first time such a vessel called at Gradyz’k port”. “We do not compete with “Globyns’ka” branch located several meters away”, mentions Igor Zasyadko, a manager of the trading department, “There is no need in it, as we make a common cause, and have a common profession – NIBULON”. We consider ourselves to be Ukraine’s agrarian elite. By the way, I told our colleagues that some local business rivals put plates “Grain! Expensively!” on the way to NIBULON’s terminal trying to intercept clients. But our terminal is well-known in the region; consequently, such actions were unsuccessful. As the branch team is skillful. Lyudmyla Syvolap, a chief economist, assures, “In due time at NIBULON’s branches there was implemented a program for economic analysis of the branch activities. I was responsible for its functioning. We performed a lot of work, put much energy, but the task was performed in time. The company’s management acknowledged us for efficiency and professionalism”. Above 96 thousand tons of agricultural products were taken by the branch last marketing year. The branch style of work is to search for new ways to use the branch potential fully that ensures reduction of production cost and increase of profitability of production activities. The secret of the branch team consists in a team spirit. Olga Mishyna, a head of the production and technological laboratory, shared the scheme of success, “New tasks require news ways of their solution. It is quite obvious that new solutions become popular and form new traditions with the lapse of time. Search of new solutions is collective”. She adds, “It is our professional tradition. But we also have other ones, namely on New Year’s Eve we decorate the branch with hand-made decorations. During May holidays we have picnics, have rest together, and organize sports competitions. The inhabitants of Gradyz’k town always invite our team to participate in the holiday “Fish soup”. We prepare and eat it together. We also plant young trees and bushes together in spring, thus, decorating the branch and the town”. Gradyz’k people and the branch team are a unitary whole. One of them is Lyudmyla Syvolap. “The issue to get a job at the branch was topical because NIBULON is one of the most prestigious companies of Ukraine that guarantees stability and reliability. Young team, new experience and knowledge, modern equipment, European office, a lot of flowers in the territory. And the branch is located a minute walk from my home”. The whole branch considers itself to be unity with Gradyz’k people proving it by implementation of its own social standard. The town received considerable funds from a land plot sale that were directed to Gradyz’k town development. Besides, the company presented a new emergency car to the local hospital, computers and office equipment to school; NIBULON repaired and installed bus stations, carried out lighting, repaired the local house of culture, renovated a Memorial dedicated to the soldiers killed during the Great Patriotic War. In spring 2011 the company created a central park in Gradyz’k town. *** The team of “Gradyz’k” branch is characterized by devotion to work, energy, potential.
