On April 10, an exhibition opened at the Mykolaiv Museum of Shipbuilding and Fleet, which became a real event for the city. And it’s no wonder, as it was dedicated to the memory of Oleksiy Vadaturskyy, NIBULON’s founder, who did so much for Mykolaiv and Ukraine.

It seems that for a long time there have not been so many visitors at the museum who expressed a desire to pay tribute and show respect to the Hero of Ukraine. About a hundred residents of Mykolaiv responded to the invitation and visited the museum with their children and grandchildren. They are convinced that the memory of this outstanding person should be passed down from generation to generation

In his welcoming speech, Bohdan Muzyka, Director of NIBULON Shipbuilding and Shiprepair Yard, expressed confidence that the exhibition is a vivid demonstration of how, having a dream, one can achieve results on the level of the world-renowned company like NIBULON. And the better the youth knows the story of Oleksiy Vadaturskyy’s success, the more firmly his motto “Don’t give up!” will echo through the streets of Mykolaiv, the more successful and victorious examples of following this great man’s footsteps the history of our city and Ukraine will have

“Once, Mykhailo Falieiev developed Mykolaiv and built the fleet in the interests of the Russian Empire. In modern history, Oleksiy Vadaturskyy played a key role in the development of Mykolaiv and the South, building the fleet and developing navigation on the Dnipro and Southern Buh rivers for independent Ukraine. His life’s work and achievements continue to work for us. This is the fundamental difference between the two figures, hence renaming Falieievska Street to Oleksiy Vadaturskyy Street holds significant symbolism and pays homage to the memory of the Hero of our independent Ukraine,” said Bohdan.

Volodymyr Slavinskyi, NIBULON’s Director on Trade, illustrated the impact of the outstanding resident of Mykolaiv on Ukraine’s agricultural sector, using the example of the growth in production and export volumes of corn.

“The construction of NIBULON’s modern terminal to the highest technical standards has created the opportunity to enter new markets and has given impetus to the growth of corn production and export, which has increased more than 10 times over the next few years. Such facts truly inspire and should be known to the wider public. The opening of the exhibition is a worthy record of the life story of this prominent person. The next logical step will be to rename Falieievska Street to Oleksiy Vadaturskyy Street. The company’s first office is located here, and it is from here that Oleksiy Opanasovych’s great journey began.”
