NIBULON and the Bashtanka District Military Administration (Mykolaiv region) have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of humanitarian demining.
The Memorandum provides for the interaction and coordination between our deminers and the Bashtanka administration to reduce the risks arising from the detonation of explosive objects.
The result of cooperation will make it possible to use the natural resources in the cleared areas for economic purposes; minimize and avert the threats of accidents resulting from improper handling of explosive objects; preserve and ensure the reproduction of unique ecosystems within the territories contaminated by explosive objects.
According to the Bashtanka District Military Administration, as of today, the areas requiring survey for contamination by mines and explosive remnants of war in the district amount to more than 23.2 thousand hectares.
NIBULON will help increase the demining pace in Bashtanka district. It is worth reminding that NIBULON is the first agricultural company certified as a humanitarian demining operator. Currently, our specialists are undergoing certification in “Demining with the use of machines and mechanisms” and already have two GCS-200 remote control demining machines. Each of them is capable of demining up to 10,000 m2 of Ukrainian land per day. We thank the German Development Bank DEG Impulse gGmbH, a subsidiary of DEG, for the assistance in fulfilling such an important mission for Ukraine.
