Today, Bessarabska is one of the key branches of the company and plays a strategic role in the logistics operations of transporting grain cargoes to foreign markets.
In 2022, the company made a decision to reorient itself to new ways of transporting grain cargoes in connection with the beginning of a full-scale invasion of russia, which led to the blockade of Black Sea ports. Therefore, it was decided to build a new river terminal on the Danube coast, which was supposed to become a stable channel for the export of Ukrainian grain. The company’s employees surveyed the region to confirm the progress of work on the Dnipro and Southern Bug rivers and selected the Izmail port for the implementation of the project. Construction of the terminal began in June 2022, and on September 15 of the same year, the terminal began operations by loading the first barge.
NIBULON invested 18.5 million US dollars in a warehouse for 9,000 tons, equipped for unloading grain hoppers and tanks for 2,000 tons. Bessarabska branch ensures the possibility of transferring grains to river transport, and then delivering them to the Romanian seaport of Constanta, where the grain is transferred from barges to vessels of different classes and sizes. In 2023, the volume of unloading at the Bessarabska branch was increased to 60 grain hoppers per day.
In 2023, a new electronic vehicle registration service was launched at the branch. Moreover, two new Liebherr loaders started working here, which allows for loading up to 1,000 tons of grain per hour. These innovations have significantly increased the volume of unloading at the branches, providing more efficient work and reducing the time for cargo handling.
Today, Bessarabska branch continues to develop, attracting new technologies and increasing its productivity to meet the needs of customers and ensure a stable export channel for the company.
